Cake Smash Sessions

 

Cake Smash sessions are a fantastic way to celebrate a child’s first birthday and take place in the comfort of my home studio in Booragoon.

 

My sessions have a very simplistic approach, so the focus stays completely on your child, using a white backdrop decorated with loose balloons of up to two or three colours to co-ordinate with your child’s outfit/cake.

 

All Cake Smash sessions start with some “clean portraits” which you are welcome to bring a seperate outfit for, if you wish. Then, the fun part begins - time for the actual Cake Smash itself! Your child will love the opportunity to get messy and explore with the taste, textures and yummy smells of their cake, whilst I capture the memories of this special occasion. After this, lets splash after the smash! A warm bubble bath is included to clean up. The bubble bath is a small vintage inspired clawfoot bathtub - the perfect size for a one year old! This also provides another opportunity to capture more gorgeous photos of your child enjoying the warm bath, should you wish to do so. And of course when we are done, I take care of all the clean up!

 

Total session time is approximately 45 minutes to one hour.
